Water Reminder and Intake Tracker
Log what you drink with one tap, watch today's total grow towards your goal in millilitres or fluid ounces, and let the page remind you to drink between the hours you set.
Water Reminder and Intake Tracker: The tracker adds up today's drinks, shows the share of your goal and the last seven days, and resets at midnight. Reminders count from your last drink, only ring within your active hours, and can stop once you reach the goal. Runs 100% locally in your browser with zero server file uploads.

The reminder counts from your last drink, so logging a glass pushes the next one back. It only rings between the hours you set, and while this tab is open.
How much you need depends on your size, activity, the weather, and your health, and food provides part of it. If a doctor has limited how much you should drink, follow their advice rather than this goal.
Alerts
Alerts work while this tab is open, also in the background. Closing the tab or letting the computer sleep stops them. In a background tab the browser may deliver the alert a few seconds late.
How much water is enough
There is no single right amount. The U.S. National Academies set an adequate total water intake of about 3.7 litres a day for men and 2.7 litres for women, counting all drinks and the water in food; drinks usually supply about 80% of it. Heat, exercise, illness, pregnancy, and breastfeeding raise the need.
For most healthy people, thirst is a good guide and pale yellow urine a sign of drinking enough. A goal and reminders help when you tend to forget, for example during long stretches at a desk. People with heart or kidney conditions may have been told to limit fluids; their doctor's advice comes first.
What counts, and how the reminder works
Water, tea, coffee, milk, and other drinks all count, and so does food with a lot of water, such as fruit, vegetables, and soup. Sugary drinks add calories, so water is the simplest everyday choice. A US fluid ounce is 29.57 ml, so an 8 oz glass is about 237 ml.
Reminders count from your last drink and only ring within the hours you choose: in the tab while it is open, and as notifications with it closed if you switch that on. Logging a glass pushes the next one back, and once the goal is reached they can stop for the day. For breaks from the screen itself, try the eye break reminder.
How to use it
- Set a daily goal and your usual glass size.
- Tap + Glass each time you drink, or add another amount.
- Turn on reminders and choose how often and between which hours.
Privacy & limitations
Your drinks, goal, and settings are kept in this browser's storage for two weeks. Only if you switch on reminders with the tab closed does the page send TOEA's server this browser's push address and the reminder times, never what you drink; each is deleted once sent or cancelled.

Frequently asked questions
How much water should I drink a day?
It depends on your size, activity, the climate, and your health. As a reference, the U.S. National Academies set an adequate total water intake of about 3.7 litres a day for men and 2.7 litres for women, from all drinks and food; drinks usually provide about 80% of it. The 2-litre default is a common everyday goal, not a medical target.
Do tea, coffee, and other drinks count?
Yes. All drinks count towards your fluid intake, including tea and coffee in moderate amounts, and so does the water in food such as fruit, vegetables, and soup. Plain water is the simplest choice without sugar or calories.
Can I drink too much water?
Yes, drinking very large amounts in a short time can dangerously lower the sodium in your blood, although it is rare in healthy people. Drink steadily through the day, and if a doctor has limited your fluids, follow their advice rather than this goal.
Why did the reminder not come?
It only rings between the hours you set: in this tab while it is open, and as a notification with the tab closed if you switched that on. It counts from your last drink, so logging a glass pushes the next reminder back, and it stops for the day once you reach the goal if that option is on; drinks you did not log here cannot count.
