Brazilian Overtime Calculator: 50%, 100% and DSR

Calculate hora extra, Brazilian overtime pay, from salary and monthly hours. Use 220, 200 or 180-hour presets or a custom divisor, then estimate the paid-rest reflex on overtime.

Brazilian Overtime Calculator: 50%, 100% and DSR: Divides monthly salary by the selected monthly hours, then applies the overtime premium to the entered hours. DSR, the weekly paid-rest reflex, divides the overtime total by eligible working days and multiplies by rest days and holidays. Preset selections are reflected in the page URL. Estimates cover ordinary CLT employment; collective agreements, court rulings and special regimes are not modelled. Runs 100% locally in your browser with zero server file uploads.

Overtime minimum

CLT article 59 (https://www.planalto.gov.br/ccivil_03/decreto-lei/del5452.htm) and CF article 7 XVI (https://www.planalto.gov.br/ccivil_03/constituicao/constituicao.htm) establish the minimum overtime premium.

Paid rest

Lei 605/1949 articles 7 and 9 (https://www.planalto.gov.br/ccivil_03/leis/l0605.htm) concerns weekly paid rest and uncompensated holiday work. TST Súmulas 146 and 172 in the official collection (https://www.tst.jus.br/documents/10157/63003/Livro-Internet.pdf) address holiday pay and habitual overtime in paid rest.

Frequently asked questions

Which monthly-hours divisor should I use?

Choose the divisor that applies to your schedule: 220, 200 and 180 are common payroll presets, and the custom field supports other schedules. The selected divisor directly changes the hourly salary.

Is every Sunday paid at 100%?

No. A 50% premium is the general minimum under CLT and CF rules. The 100% option reflects the common treatment of Sundays or holidays worked without compensatory rest under Lei 605/1949 and TST Súmula 146. Special schedules and collective agreements may differ.

What is included in DSR?

This estimate uses the entered overtime total, working-day count and rest-day or holiday count. Eligible Saturdays can belong in the working-day count. Other leave and 13th salary reflexes, absences and taxes are outside this page.
