Round Robin Generator and League Table: The schedule uses the circle method: one team stays in place while the others rotate one position each round, so every pair meets exactly once in n − 1 rounds, or n rounds with an odd number, when one team rests each round. Home and away alternate so that every team has the same number of home matches, or one more. With home and away, the second half repeats the first with the sides swapped. Planning the time
Multiply the number of matches by the length of a match, then divide by the number of courts, tables, or pitches you have. Eight teams make 28 matches: on four courts with 20-minute matches that is seven rounds, about two and a half hours.
For a large group, split into pools that each play a round robin, then put the pool winners into a tournament bracket.
Fairness
In the circle method the team that rests changes every round, and home and away alternate, so nobody plays at home all the time. With home and away, every team plays every other team once at each end.

- Enter scores as matches are played; the standings update, and you can print the schedule or download it as CSV.

Frequently asked questions
How many matches are in a round robin?
With n teams there are n × (n − 1) ÷ 2 matches: 10 for five teams, 28 for eight, and 190 for twenty. Playing home and away doubles that.
How many rounds are there?
n − 1 rounds for an even number of teams, and n rounds for an odd number, with one team resting each round. With home and away, twice as many.
What are the usual points?
Football and many other sports give 3 points for a win, 1 for a draw, and 0 for a loss. Some leagues use 2 points for a win; chess tournaments give 1 for a win and a half for a draw, which you can score as 2 and 1.
How are ties in the table broken?
By score difference (goals or points scored minus conceded), then by scores for. Many competitions then use the head-to-head result, which you can check in the schedule.
