Custom offsets and day zero
Target date = starting date + N calendar days, where N is the whole number you enter.
A worked custom example is 1 January 2025 + 17 days = 18 January 2025. January 1 is day zero, January 2 is day one, and January 18 is day seventeen. With N = 0 the result stays on the starting date.
Choosing the right kind of reminder
For a personal project, decide whether the marker represents elapsed dates or working sessions. A rehearsal in seventeen calendar days and seventeen weekday rehearsals describe different plans. After changing the controls, read the full target date before downloading the all-day calendar event. The ISO week label helps organise weekly notes but does not change your target.
The US Naval Observatory calendar introduction (https://aa.usno.navy.mil/faq/calendars) explains the civil Gregorian calendar. Month lengths and leap years matter when a custom interval crosses a boundary; a fixed day count should not be replaced with an approximate number of months.

How can I schedule a custom 17-day follow-up?
Enter 17 in Days forward and leave calendar mode selected. With 1 January 2025 as the starting date, the answer is 18 January. Changing the starting date lets you prepare a reminder before the project actually begins.
What does switching to business days change on a personal plan?
It skips Saturdays and Sundays, so the same number can land later. Public holidays still count. Use that choice for a weekday work schedule only when those are the days you intend to include.
Why can two people see different dates for today?
Today follows each device’s local calendar. Around midnight, people in different time zones can have different starting dates. For a shared project, choose an explicit starting date and record it beside the day count.
