Memory Matching Game: Emoji, Numbers or Your Images

Turn over cards and find matching pairs with emoji, numbers or local images. Choose 4 × 4, 4 × 6 or 6 × 6 cards, track moves and time, or share two-player turns.

Memory Matching Game: Emoji, Numbers or Your Images: Shuffles pairs onto a board and briefly reveals each two-card attempt. A move is one two-card attempt. The timer begins with your first card and stops when all pairs are found. Pause hides the cards and stops the timer. Your lowest solo move count is saved by board size and set; two-player mode counts pairs for each player and saves the best pair count. Preparing cards

Turn over two cards using a click, tap or Enter. Arrow keys move focus. Remember their positions. In two-player mode, a mismatch passes the turn.

Rules and strategy

Use a steady route through the board and describe each revealed position to yourself. When you find a card you have seen before, try its remembered partner before exploring a new square. The cards stay in the same positions throughout the game.

The 4 × 6 layout has four columns and six rows. Two players share the device and can both learn from every revealed card.

History

Pair-matching became a familiar boxed family game during the twentieth century. Museum Ravensburger's digital tour records its publisher's first matching-pairs edition in 1959. This is an independent matching game with original CSS, system-rendered Unicode emoji and optional user-provided images; no boxed-game artwork is copied.

How to use it

  2. Turn over two cards and remember their positions. Matching pairs remain found.
  3. Find every pair. In two-player mode, a match keeps the turn and a mismatch passes it.
