Runs entirely in your browser
A free tile has no tile above it and an open left or right side. Match identical suits and honours; any two flowers match, as do any two seasons. Click, tap or Enter to select; arrows move focus. Deals and shuffles are solvable at the moment they are generated. Later choices can block a deal. Shuffle keeps the remaining faces; restart if the geometry has no solution.
Tile freedom and layouts
The classic turtle uses five layers and 144 tiles. A tile is free only if no higher tile overlaps it and at least one horizontal side is open. Layout cross-check: the MIT-licensed Mahjong Solitaire project https://github.com/ffalt/mah . This page uses original layout code and SVG faces, without copying external tile artwork.
Solvable generation
A legal pair-removal ordering is planned from the geometry, then matching pairs are placed back in reverse order. Every generated deal therefore carries a complete clearing route. Shuffle preserves the remaining faces and removed positions. Hints identify a currently legal pair, which need not belong to a complete solution.

Which tiles match?
Identical suit and honour faces match. Any two flowers match, and any two seasons match. Flowers and seasons do not match each other.
Can a solvable deal get stuck?
Yes. A deal has a solution when generated, but choosing different pairs can block later moves. Use hints or shuffle remaining faces. If the remaining geometry cannot support pairwise removal, restart the board.
