Sticker Maker for WhatsApp and Telegram

Make WhatsApp and Telegram stickers from any picture: a 512 × 512 WebP under 100 KB with a transparent margin, a 512-pixel Telegram PNG or WebP, or a 100 × 100 custom emoji.

Sticker Maker for WhatsApp and Telegram: TOEA draws your picture at the platform's exact size in the browser: 512 × 512 WebP for WhatsApp, lowering the quality step by step until the file is 100 KB or less, plus the 96 × 96 PNG tray icon a pack needs; a PNG or WebP with one side at 512 for Telegram; and a 100 × 100 file for Telegram custom emoji. Runs 100% locally in your browser with zero server file uploads.

PNG, JPG, WebP, GIF, or SVG · a transparent PNG gives the cleanest result

WhatsApp sticker · 512 × 512 WebP
  • Exactly 512 × 512 pixels, WebP, with a transparent background.
  • A static sticker must be 100 KB or less.
  • A 16-pixel transparent margin around the artwork is recommended.
  • A pack also needs a 96 × 96 PNG tray icon under 50 KB, and at least three stickers.

WhatsApp's rules

A WhatsApp sticker is a 512 × 512 WebP with a transparent background. A static sticker must be 100 KB or less, and WhatsApp's guidelines suggest a 16-pixel transparent margin so the artwork does not touch the edge. A pack needs at least three stickers and a 96 × 96 PNG tray icon under 50 KB, which this tool makes alongside the sticker.

Flat artwork usually fits the limit losslessly. A detailed photo at 512 pixels often does not, so the quality is lowered step by step until it fits, and the readout shows the value used. If the quality drops too far, crop tighter or simplify the picture rather than accepting a smeary sticker.

Telegram stickers and custom emoji

Telegram is less strict about shape: one side must be exactly 512 pixels and the other 512 or less, so a wide picture can stay wide. PNG and WebP are both accepted, up to 512 KB, and the file goes to the @Stickers bot as a document so it is not recompressed. Custom emoji are 100 × 100 pixels and are made through the same bot; sending them needs Telegram Premium.

Static stickers are what this tool makes; animated and video stickers use separate formats that Telegram and WhatsApp define on their own. To turn an existing photo into WebP without the sticker framing or size rules, use JPG to WebP.

The sticker look

Stickers usually have a white outline, which separates the artwork from a busy chat wallpaper in either theme. The outline follows the transparent edge of the picture, so it only works on artwork that has already been cut out, which the background remover does in the browser; on a photo with its background it just outlines the square. Keep it thick enough to survive the chat's own downscaling, around 8 to 12 pixels at 512.

How to use it

  1. Choose an image, ideally with a transparent background.
  2. Pick WhatsApp, Telegram, or Telegram custom emoji, then frame it and add a margin or a white sticker outline.
  3. Download the file; the size readout shows whether it is within the platform's limit.

Privacy & limitations

Stickers are made entirely on your device and never uploaded. WebP encoding uses your browser's own encoder, which Chrome, Edge, and Firefox provide.

Frequently asked questions

What are WhatsApp's sticker requirements?

Each sticker is exactly 512 × 512 pixels, WebP, with a transparent background, and a static sticker must be 100 KB or less. WhatsApp's guidelines suggest a 16-pixel margin around the artwork, and a pack needs a 96 × 96 PNG tray icon and at least three stickers.

How do I get the sticker into WhatsApp?

It depends on the app version. WhatsApp Web and the desktop app have a create option in the sticker panel that takes an image file; on a phone, a sticker pack app adds WebP files as a pack of three or more. The file made here meets the pack format either way.

What does Telegram need?

For a static sticker, a PNG or WebP with one side exactly 512 pixels and the other 512 or less, with a transparent background, up to 512 KB. Send it to the @Stickers bot as a file. Custom emoji are 100 × 100 pixels and go through the same bot.

Why is the result not perfectly sharp?

To stay under WhatsApp's 100 KB, detailed photos need lossy WebP. The readout shows the quality used; flat artwork usually fits losslessly, while photographs may drop to a lower quality.

How do I get the white outline stickers usually have?

Use the outline slider. It traces the transparent edge of the picture, so it works on a cut-out image; on a picture with a solid background it only outlines the square.
