Official sticker artwork requirements

WhatsApp’s official sample app README (https://github.com/WhatsApp/stickers/blob/main/Android/README.md) requires transparent 512 × 512 WebP artwork and a static file size no more than 100 KB. This export uses a conservative ceiling of less than 100,000 bytes.

Packs and tray icons

The same official README describes packs of 3 to 30 stickers and a 96 × 96 tray icon with a 50 KB maximum. This tool exports a PNG tray icon below 50,000 bytes. The ZIP is artwork for a compatible app, not an automatic account upload.

How to use it

  1. Choose up to 30 PNG, JPEG or WebP images.
  2. Optionally remove a background colour, add a white outline and include a tray icon.
  3. Inspect the prepared images and download the artwork as a ZIP.

Privacy & limitations

Everything runs in your browser. Your images, keys and pasted data are not uploaded or saved by this tool.

Can I import the ZIP directly into WhatsApp?

The ZIP contains artwork, not an installable sticker app. Use a compatible sticker app or package the files according to WhatsApp’s sticker app documentation.

How many stickers does a pack need?

WhatsApp packs require 3 to 30 stickers. You can export fewer here to prepare individual images, but add at least three before packaging a pack.

How does the tray icon work?

The first image supplies an optional 96 × 96 PNG below 50 KB. The ZIP includes it as tray.png alongside the WebP sticker files.
