Choose matching A4 or Letter paper and print without browser headers or footers. Practice printing includes a separate answer sheet. The same seed and blank percentage reproduce the same cells; blanks are random, so the actual proportion can vary. For separate arithmetic questions, use the maths worksheet generator.

Reading the grid

An entry in row r and column c is r × c. Swapping row and column leaves the product unchanged, so the chart is symmetric. Diagonal entries are squares, r × r. A highlighted multiple of n is an entry divisible by n without a remainder.

Practice and paper

Complete the empty cells, then check every answer against the full answer key. Keep your seed and settings if you want to print the same practice grid again. Choose A4 (210 × 297 mm) or Letter (215.9 × 279.4 mm) to match your paper. PNG downloads are 1520 × 1700 pixels, and PDF charts fit the selected paper with 12 mm margins.

How to use it

  1. Choose 10, 12, 15 or 20 rows and columns, or a custom size up to 30.
  2. Hover, focus or tap a cell; choose squares or multiples and a filled, blank or partly blank version.
  3. Set the seed and paper size, then print the chart and key or download separate PNG and PDF files.

Privacy & limitations

Frequently asked questions

Does the seed change the answers?

No. It only changes which practice cells are left empty. Keep the same seed, chart size and blank percentage to practise the same grid again. The number of empty cells may be a little higher or lower than your chosen percentage.

Can I download an answer key?

Yes. Practice mode has separate SVG, PNG and PDF download controls for the key. Printing includes a second answer sheet. Show answer key reveals all entries in the preview.

How is this different from a maths worksheet?

This page shows a complete row-by-column grid for recognising multiplication patterns. The linked maths worksheet generator makes separate addition, subtraction, multiplication or division questions.

Will a large chart fit on paper?

Yes. A4 and Letter exports fit the chart within page margins. Bigger grids have smaller text, so choose a smaller chart for younger pupils. Turn off browser headers and footers when printing.
