Glitch Effect
Create a glitch effect with RGB channel offsets, scan lines, horizontal slice displacement and noise. Set a seed for repeatable results and download PNG or an animated GIF.
Glitch Effect: Offsets red and blue channels, darkens every fourth scan line, shifts seeded horizontal slices and adds seeded noise. Reusing the same input and seed reproduces the still image. The GIF uses twelve consecutive seeds, with 100 milliseconds per frame, fitted within 480 by 480 pixels. Runs 100% locally in your browser with zero server file uploads.

Repeatability
A seeded pseudo-random sequence controls slice displacement and noise. Red and blue shift in opposite directions, while green follows the base slice. Out-of-image samples clamp to the nearest edge.
GIF animation
GIF89a stores palette-indexed frames. Twelve frames use one median-cut palette, loop continuously and retain a 100 ms frame delay. GIF89a specification: https://www.w3.org/Graphics/GIF/spec-gif89a.txt
How to use it
- Choose a photo.
- Set RGB shift, scan lines, slice displacement, noise and seed.
- Download a still PNG or animated GIF.

Frequently asked questions
Why use a seed?
It makes slice positions and noise repeatable. Change the seed for a different arrangement without changing effect strength.
How large are the exports?
PNG fits within 1200 × 1200 pixels. Animated GIF fits within 480 × 480 pixels and uses a shared reduced palette.
Can I turn individual effects off?
Yes. Set RGB shift, scan lines, displacement or noise to zero. With all four at zero, the pixels are unchanged.
