Word to PDF: Convert Locally in Your Browser
Convert a DOCX document to PDF with headings, lists, tables and pictures. Choose A4 or Letter and margins; use browser printing for other scripts.
Word to PDF: Convert Locally in Your Browser: Rebuilds the document on the chosen paper size with standard Latin fonts. Bold, italic, underline, lists, simple table borders, raster pictures and explicit page breaks are retained where possible. Original typefaces, floating objects, columns, headers, footers, merged-cell geometry and exact pagination are not preserved. The preview offers Print to PDF for scripts the direct download cannot draw. Runs 100% locally in your browser with zero server file uploads.

Headings, emphasis, lists, simple tables, raster images and page breaks are rebuilt. Original fonts, floating objects, columns, headers, footers and exact pagination are not preserved. Merged cells are approximate. Old .doc files must be saved as .docx first.
Document formats
Office Open XML defines DOCX and XLSX packaging, relationships, text and worksheets. The ECMA-376 catalogue (https://ecma-international.org/publications-and-standards/standards/ecma-376/) describes the format family. PDF page content is specified by ISO 32000; the ISO catalogue (https://www.iso.org/standard/75839.html) identifies the standard. These conversions rebuild useful content rather than guaranteeing an identical layout.
Conversion libraries
PDF creation uses pdf-lib (MIT; https://pdf-lib.js.org/docs/api/), and PDF reading and rendering use PDF.js (Apache 2.0; https://mozilla.github.io/pdf.js/). Both run locally in this tool. No document upload is required.
Direct export uses standard PDF fonts, while Print to PDF uses fonts available on your device. No additional font files are downloaded or bundled by this converter.

Frequently asked questions
Can I convert an old .doc file?
No. Open it in a word processor and save a .docx copy first. The two file formats use different structures.
Why does my document need Print to PDF?
The direct download uses standard PDF fonts for Western European Latin text. CJK, Arabic, Cyrillic, Greek, Korean and other scripts need browser and device fonts. Select Save as PDF in the print dialogue and check the preview for missing characters.
Will the PDF look exactly like my document?
No. The converter rebuilds the content with selected margins. Fonts, columns, headers, footers, floating objects, merged cells and exact page lengths can change. Check the preview and downloaded file.
