Split PDF

Pull selected pages out of a PDF into a new document — a range, a scattering, or both.

Split PDF: TOEA copies just the pages you name into a fresh document, leaving the original untouched, and shows the resolved selection before you commit. Runs 100% locally in your browser with zero server file uploads.

Leave blank for every page.

Page order is not kept as typed

The selection is treated as a set: pages come out in their original order and a page listed twice appears once. Typing 5, 1, 3 produces pages 1, 3, and 5 in that order. To pull pages out in a different order, or to repeat one, use the page organizer, which follows the sequence exactly as you write it.

The field is forgiving about how a range is written: 3-7, 3–7, 3 to 7, and even 7-3 all mean the same five pages, and all selects every page.

Why a small extract can be large

A page carries the fonts and images it uses, and in many PDFs those are shared by the whole document. A one-page extract of a long report can therefore bring along an embedded font covering every character used across all of its pages, or, from some generators, a set of images the page never shows. Expect an extract to be bigger than its share of the page count; a single scanned page, by contrast, carries only its own image.

How to use it

  1. Choose a PDF.
  2. Type the pages to keep, such as 1-3, 5.
  3. Extract and download the new file.

Privacy & limitations

The file is opened and rewritten in your browser and never uploaded, which is the point when the document is a contract, a scan, or anything else you would not hand to a stranger. Page selections accept single pages and ranges together, such as 1-3, 5, 8-10. A page number outside the document is reported rather than quietly ignored.

Frequently asked questions

Can I take non-consecutive pages?

Yes. Mix single pages and ranges freely: 1-3, 7, 11-12 produces one document containing exactly those pages.

Does it change the original?

No. The file on your machine is untouched; the result is a new document.

How do I split into several files?

Run it once per range. A single page becomes its own file by entering just that number.

What if I mistype a page number?

A page outside the document is reported with the actual page count rather than being ignored, so a typo cannot silently produce the wrong file.
