Reading the identifying fields
Creator names the program the document was written in, such as Microsoft Word; Producer names whatever wrote the PDF itself, such as a print driver, an export library, or the operating system. A modification date later than the creation date means the file was saved again after it was made, for instance by an editor that added a signature or removed pages. Dates are shown in UTC, so they can differ by some hours from the local time the file was made.
Recognising page sizes
Beyond A4 and Letter, a few sizes turn up often: A3 is 842 × 1191 points, A5 is 420 × 595, US Legal is 612 × 1008, and Tabloid is 792 × 1224. A PowerPoint slide in the current widescreen format exports at 960 × 540. Sizes are reported as the page is defined, so a portrait page turned with a rotation setting is still listed in its portrait size.
This view reads the document information fields only. Many PDFs also carry an XMP metadata packet that can repeat the same details, which is not shown here.

Privacy & limitations
The file is opened and rewritten in your browser and never uploaded, which is the point when the document is a contract, a scan, or anything else you would not hand to a stranger. Only what the file declares is shown; nothing is inferred.

Frequently asked questions
Why does this matter before sharing?
PDFs routinely carry the author's name, the software used, and creation timestamps. People are often surprised what an exported document says about them.
What is a point?
A PDF unit of 1/72 inch. A4 is about 595 x 842 points and US Letter about 612 x 792.
Why are several page sizes listed?
The document mixes them, which commonly happens after merging files from different sources.
How do I remove what it shows?
Use the Remove PDF Metadata tool, which deletes these fields from the file itself.
