Remove PDF Metadata
Strip the author, title, producer, and timestamps from a PDF before you share it.
Remove PDF Metadata: TOEA deletes the document information entries outright rather than blanking them, so the keys are absent from the saved file instead of present and empty. Runs 100% locally in your browser with zero server file uploads.

What else can identify you
The document information fields are the most visible metadata, but not the only one. Many PDFs, particularly from Adobe software, carry a second copy of author and tool details in an XMP metadata packet, which this tool leaves in place. Comments and annotations record the name of whoever made them, and photos placed in a document can keep their own EXIF data, including location.
For a document where nothing but the visible page may travel, compress PDF rebuilds every page as a plain image and leaves all of that behind, at the cost of selectable text.
Checking the cleaned file
Open the result in the metadata viewer to confirm the fields are gone. The viewer does not read XMP, so for a thorough check open the PDF in a plain text editor and search for xmpmeta, dc:creator, or CreatorTool. The XMP packet is usually stored uncompressed so that software can find it, which means those words appear in the file as readable text when it is present.
How to use it
- Choose a PDF.
- Remove the metadata.
- Download the cleaned file.
Privacy & limitations
The file is opened and rewritten in your browser and never uploaded, which is the point when the document is a contract, a scan, or anything else you would not hand to a stranger. Content is untouched: text, images, and page order are exactly as they were.

Frequently asked questions
Is the metadata really gone?
Yes. The entries are deleted from the information dictionary, not overwritten with blanks, so the fields do not appear in the file at all.
Does it name TOEA as the producer?
No. Many tools stamp themselves into the producer field while claiming to clean the file. This one leaves that field absent.
Does it change the pages?
No. Text, images, and page order are untouched — only the document information entries are removed.
What about text inside the document?
Metadata is separate from content. A name written on the page itself stays there; this tool removes the hidden fields only.
