Timetable Maker

Make a school or university class timetable with week ranges, odd/even weeks, rooms and teachers. Print it, save a phone wallpaper image, or add classes to your phone calendar.

Timetable Maker: Build a timetable of 5, 6 or 7 days and up to 14 periods, starting on Monday or Sunday. Each slot holds up to two classes, so an odd-week lecture and an even-week lab can share a time. Add course names, rooms, teachers and notes, then use week ranges such as 1-8,10,12-16 to show when each class meets. Matching consecutive periods join into one cell. View one week, use the day list on your phone, or save the grid as a phone wallpaper. Print or save as PDF, import the .ics file into your phone calendar, and keep a JSON copy to load on another device. Your timetable is saved in this browser. Runs 100% locally in your browser with zero server file uploads.

Planning teaching weeks

Week 1 begins on the Monday of the week containing your term start date. This also applies if your grid starts on Sunday. Leave Weeks empty for every week, or enter ranges such as 1-8,10,12-16. Odd and even refer to your term's week numbers, not the calendar year's week numbers.

A slot can hold two classes, each with its own weeks, room, teacher and note. For an alternating lecture and lab, give one entry odd weeks and the other even weeks. Matching entries in consecutive periods appear as one longer cell. Select that cell to edit the whole block, or choose an individual period in the editor.

Times, breaks and day sections

Generate times starts from your first time and period length. A long break replaces the short break after its chosen period; you can add up to three, for example for a longer morning break, lunch and dinner. The 45-minute and 90-minute options are starting examples to adjust to your own schedule.

Morning covers start times before noon, afternoon covers noon through 18:00, and evening covers later starts. Turn the section labels off for an uninterrupted grid. To plan revision outside class, use the exam study planner.

Keeping a copy on your phone

Choose a week before printing or downloading an image. The phone wallpaper leaves a top margin for the clock; the wide image fits a desktop or a shared class notice. Long image labels wrap and are shortened with an ellipsis when needed. Print the timetable in landscape, with background graphics enabled if colours do not appear.

The calendar file includes all the term's teaching weeks, regardless of the week shown on screen. Import it into Google Calendar, Apple Calendar or Outlook to add the meetings to your phone calendar. Class times are local wall-clock times, including across daylight-saving changes. The export allows up to 2,000 meetings. Save JSON to keep an editable backup; loading accepts timetable files up to 1 MB.

How to use it

  1. Set your term start date, total weeks, days and periods. Enter start and end times, or use Generate times.
  2. Select a cell to add up to two classes with rooms, teachers, week ranges and odd/even weeks. Apply to the next period too for a double period.
  3. Choose All weeks or Week N, then print, save a phone wallpaper or wide image, or download the term's classes for your calendar.

Frequently asked questions

How do I show only this week?

Enter the term start date and total weeks. The view starts on the current teaching week when today falls in the term. Use the View menu to choose any Week N or All weeks. Week 1 is the Monday-to-Sunday week containing your term start date.

How do I add classes to Google, Apple or Outlook Calendar?

Fill in the term start date and both times for each occupied period, then choose Add to calendar (.ics). Import the downloaded .ics file into Google Calendar, Apple Calendar or Outlook. The file includes all teaching weeks, with local class times, rooms, teachers and notes. You can also include a reminder.

How do odd and even weeks work?

Enter a week range, or leave Weeks empty for the whole term, then choose Odd or Even. Parity follows the term's week numbers: odd means 1, 3, 5 and so on. Put an odd-week class and an even-week class in the two entries of the same slot.

How do I save a phone wallpaper or PDF?

Choose Phone wallpaper and Download PNG for a 1170 × 2532 image with space above the timetable for your clock. Wide makes a 2400-pixel-wide image. Both use the selected week view. For a PDF, choose Print or save as PDF, then Save as PDF in the print dialog.

Is my timetable uploaded?

No. Editing and exports happen in your browser. The timetable stays on this browser and device unless you clear its stored data. Save JSON to keep a backup or move it to another device.
