Developer / SVG inspection
SVG Viewer: Inspect, Resize and Copy SVG
View SVG code locally with zoom and background controls. Inspect dimensions and colour tokens, edit width and height, fix the viewBox, and download or copy a data URI.
SVG Viewer: Inspect, Resize and Copy SVG: Reads SVG dimensions, viewBox, element counts, byte size and explicit colour usage. Edits only requested root sizing attributes after sanitising. A missing viewBox can be filled from source dimensions; responsive mode keeps the viewBox and removes width and height attributes. Runs 100% locally in your browser with zero server file uploads.

SVG viewport and viewBox
The viewBox is four numbers: minimum x, minimum y, width and height. Its width and height must be positive. Specification: https://www.w3.org/TR/SVG2/coords.html
Sizing and local previews
Absolute lengths are converted at 96 CSS pixels per inch. Preview zoom and background do not alter exported markup. SVG image processing rules: https://www.w3.org/TR/SVG2/conform.html
How to use it
- Drop an SVG or paste its code to inspect a sanitised preview.
- Set dimensions with optional aspect locking, adjust the viewBox, or remove dimensions for responsive use.
- Download the SVG, copy its code or copy an encoded data URI.
Privacy & limitations
The SVG is processed locally and rendered as an isolated image. Scripts, event handlers and external resources are removed.

Frequently asked questions
Does changing the viewBox change the artwork?
It changes the visible coordinate area. Use the existing viewBox when only changing display size; a different viewBox can crop or shift the visible drawing.
What happens when dimensions are missing?
The viewer uses viewBox dimensions, then a 300 × 150 pixel fallback. Absolute physical lengths use 96 pixels per inch; relative lengths need a containing page to resolve precisely.
Why does responsive mode remove width and height?
A viewBox preserves the coordinate system while a surrounding layout controls the displayed size.
Can I copy a data URI?
Yes. The data URI contains the sanitised output SVG with URI encoding.
