SVG to JPG Converter

Make a JPG version of a self-contained SVG illustration. Choose the colour behind transparent areas and compare the live preview as you adjust quality.

SVG to JPG Converter: Renders the SVG at its browser-decoded dimensions, paints the chosen background behind it, and encodes JPG. The output is a fixed-size raster image; it no longer contains editable vector paths. Runs 100% locally in your browser with zero server file uploads.

Browser-readable images, SVG and HEIC/HEIF · up to 30 files, 50 MB each and 200 MB total; SVG text up to 5 MB. Animated images and HEIC collections use one image.

SVG image rendering

The browser's image context renders the SVG without running scripts or loading external resources. SVG secure image processing modes are described by W3C: https://www.w3.org/TR/SVG2/conform.html .

Choosing JPG output

JPG suits opaque photographic artwork. Fine text and flat-colour logos may show compression artefacts; choose higher quality or use PNG. The reduced preview encodes the chosen background and quality, while export uses the source dimensions.

How to use it

  1. Choose a self-contained SVG file.
  2. Choose a background colour and JPG quality.
  3. Inspect the preview and download the JPG.

Privacy & limitations

The file is rendered in your browser. External SVG resources are not loaded. Metadata and animation are not preserved.

Frequently asked questions

Why do I need a background colour?

JPG cannot keep transparent pixels. The chosen colour fills those areas before the image is encoded.

Why are parts of my SVG missing?

Linked images, external fonts or unsupported SVG features may not render. Use a self-contained SVG and outline text if font fidelity matters.

How do I keep transparency?

Use SVG to PNG instead. PNG can retain transparency and avoids JPEG artefacts around fine lettering.
