Relationship Counter: How Long Have We Been Together?: See how long you have been together from your chosen start date to now. The main answer uses completed calendar years and months, then remaining days. The totals also show completed months, weeks, calendar days and elapsed hours. A live countdown accompanies your next monthiversary and annual anniversary. Starts on the 29th, 30th or 31st use the last day of a shorter month, while later months return to the original day. For example, 31 January 2024 leads to 29 February and then 31 March. Milestones list the dates 100, 365, 500, 1,000 and 2,000 days after your start, together with your five-year anniversary. These are elapsed days: the start itself is day zero. An optional time uses your browser's local time zone. Calendar days are based on dates, while elapsed hours account for daylight-saving changes. Copy share link includes your date as ?since=2023-02-14 and your time when entered. Anyone opening it sees the duration as of their own current time. Use the date difference calculator to compare any two fixed dates or the age calculator for birthdays. Runs 100% locally in your browser with zero server file uploads.

Monthiversaries keep the original day, using the last day in shorter months. A 31 January start has a 29 February monthiversary in a leap year. Anniversaries use the same rule. Times use your browser's local time zone; elapsed hours include daylight-saving changes. Calendar days count from the start date, excluding the end date.

Calendar dates
The Gregorian calendar uses leap years divisible by four, except century years not divisible by 400. ISO 8601-1 specifies the year-month-day date notation used in shared links.
Counting convention
This counter counts the start as day zero, clamps each monthiversary to the target month's final day and retains the original day for later months. Calendar weeks are days divided by seven. Local elapsed hours include daylight-saving transitions, as described in the ECMAScript Date specification.
How to use it
- Enter the date your relationship began, and optionally the time.
- Read the calendar duration, total days and elapsed hours.

A shorter month uses its last day. The next longer month returns to the 31st. Leap-year February uses the 29th.
Does 365 days mean one anniversary?
Not always. An anniversary follows the calendar month and day; a year spanning leap day can contain 366 days.
Can I share the counter?
