Online Keyboard: Type Accents and Other Alphabets

Type in another language without changing your computer's settings: an on-screen keyboard with the real layouts for German, French, Spanish, Portuguese, Italian, Polish, Turkish, Czech, Russian, Ukrainian, Greek, Arabic, Hebrew, and Japanese hiragana and katakana, with accented letters to hand and a copy button.

Online Keyboard: Type Accents and Other Alphabets: Each keyboard shows the letters as they are printed on that country's standard layout, such as QWERTZ for German, AZERTY for French, or the standard Russian layout, with shift for capitals, and an extra row for accented and special characters that usually need dead keys or AltGr. Text is inserted at the cursor, Arabic and Hebrew run right to left, and you can keep typing on your own keyboard in between. Runs 100% locally in your browser with zero server file uploads.

Runs entirely in your browser

Everything stays in your browser. The keys follow each country's standard layout, with accented and special letters that are hard to reach on other keyboards in the extra row.

Physical layouts

Countries that use the Latin alphabet still arrange keys differently: Germany swaps Y and Z, France moves A, Q, W, and Z, and Turkey has both a dotted and a dotless i.

Right-to-left text

Arabic and Hebrew are written right to left; the text box switches direction so that punctuation and numbers land where readers expect.

How to use it

  1. Choose a keyboard.
  2. Click the keys, or mix them with your own typing.
  3. Copy the text and paste it wherever you need it.

Frequently asked questions

Does it change my computer's keyboard?

No. It only types into the box on this page; copy the text from there.

How do I type Japanese kanji?

This keyboard types kana. To turn kana into kanji you need your device's Japanese input method, which suggests the right characters.

Can I add a language to my own device?

Yes: Windows, macOS, iOS, and Android all let you add input languages in their keyboard settings, which is more convenient for regular use.
