Merge Videos

Join two or more video clips into one file in the order you choose, with their sound, even when they differ in size or shape, without uploading them.

Merge Videos: Join two or more clips in the order shown in the list; use the arrows to move them earlier or later. The output takes the first clip's aspect ratio and fits every clip to one size, with bars or cropping when shapes differ. Sound can be kept or omitted. The clips are re-encoded into one MP4 or WebM. Runs 100% locally in your browser with zero server file uploads.

Order and a common frame

Clips play from the top of the list to the bottom; use the arrows to change their order. The first clip sets the output aspect ratio. The chosen height limit is 1080p, 720p or 480p, with no enlargement of that first clip.

Every clip is drawn into this common frame. Fit whole adds bars when the shape differs; Fill crops the edges. A small later clip may be enlarged to match the frame, which does not add detail. Preview the result for cropping and legibility.

Mixed formats, sound and export

You can mix source formats and resolutions if the browser can decode every clip. The file extension alone does not guarantee that its video and audio codecs will play. MP4, MOV and WebM are common inputs; try each source separately if it fails to load.

Keep the sound includes each clip's audio; clearing it produces no audio track. There are no crossfades or automatic loudness matching. The clips are re-encoded into MP4 when the browser can record it, otherwise WebM. Encoding takes about the combined runtime, so keep the tab in front.

How to use it

  1. Choose two or more videos.
  2. Put them in order, and choose the size, quality, and how clips of another shape should fit.
  3. Merge, keeping the tab open while each clip plays through, then watch and download the result.

Privacy & limitations

The videos are played and recorded in your browser and never uploaded. They are re-encoded, so the result is a new file rather than the originals joined byte for byte.

Frequently asked questions

How do I choose the order?

Use the up and down arrows beside each clip. They play from the top of the list to the bottom. The first clip sets the output aspect ratio, so put the clip with the shape you want first.

Can I merge different resolutions and formats?

Yes, if your browser can play each source file. MP4, MOV and WebM inputs can be mixed when their codecs are supported. Each clip is scaled to one output frame; different shapes are fitted with bars or cropped to fill. Choose a height limit of 1080p, 720p or 480p.

What format is the merged video?

MP4 if your browser can record it, otherwise WebM. The clips are re-encoded, so this is not a lossless join. Keep the tab in front while each clip plays through; the file name shows the output format.
