Markdown has no single standard. GitHub, GitLab, and most documentation tools follow CommonMark with extensions of their own; Slack uses its own markup, in which single asterisks mean bold; and chat apps and CMS editors each support a different subset. This preview covers the core that nearly all of them share, so what looks right here survives in most places, while tables, task lists, and footnotes need checking in the destination itself.
In standard Markdown a single line break inside a paragraph is ignored and the lines run together; a new paragraph needs a blank line, and a forced break needs two trailing spaces or a backslash at the end of the line. This preview shows every line as a separate paragraph instead, so text that looks well spaced here can collapse into one block on GitHub or in a static site generator. Leave a blank line between paragraphs to be safe.
Markdown remains local. This focused preview is not a complete CommonMark implementation.
