Is this take-home pay?

No. This is gross scheduled pay. Taxes, deductions, special salary rates, overtime and bonuses are excluded. It is not tax or HR advice.

Why do higher steps show the same amount?

Locality pay is capped at the 2026 Executive Schedule level IV rate of $197,200.

How long until the next step?

The normal full waiting period at steps 1–3 is 52 weeks, at steps 4–6 it is 104 weeks, and at steps 7–9 it is 156 weeks. Step 10 has no next step. Eligibility conditions also apply.

Will the bi-weekly figure match my pay statement?

Not necessarily. Annual divided by 26 is a budgeting estimate. Actual basic payroll uses the rounded hourly rate and paid hours. OPM tables change every January.
