Dice Notation Roller (4d6kh3, Advantage, Exploding Dice)
Type tabletop dice notation and roll it: any number of dice and sides, keep the highest or lowest, exploding dice, and modifiers, with the lowest, highest, and average result and a chart of how likely each total is.
Dice Notation Roller (4d6kh3, Advantage, Exploding Dice): The notation is parsed into dice and modifiers and rolled with the browser's cryptographic random numbers. Kept and dropped dice are shown separately: 4d6kh3 rolling 6, 1, 4, 2 keeps 6, 4, and 2 for 12. For plain sums the chances are worked out exactly, so 2d6 shows 7 at 1 in 6; with keep or exploding dice they come from 20,000 simulated rolls. NdS rolls N dice with S sides: 3d6 is three six-sided dice. kh3 keeps the highest three and kl1 the lowest one, so 2d20kh1 is advantage and 2d20kl1 disadvantage; ! makes a die roll again and add when it shows its highest face; d% is a percentile die. Rolls use your browser's cryptographic random numbers. The chart shows how likely each total is.

Frequently asked questions
What does 4d6kh3 mean?
Roll four six-sided dice and keep the highest three, a common way to roll character ability scores; its average is about 12.24, against 10.5 for 3d6.
How do I roll with advantage?
Use 2d20kh1, two d20s keeping the higher; disadvantage is 2d20kl1. Advantage raises the average from 10.5 to about 13.8.

A die that shows its highest face is rolled again and added, so 1d6! can total 6 + 6 + 2 = 14; some games call it an open-ended roll.
