Contact QR Code Generator (vCard)
Make a QR code that saves your name, phone, email, company, and address to a phone's contacts when scanned, for a business card, a badge, or a sign.
Contact QR Code Generator (vCard): The page writes your details as a vCard 3.0 contact card, the format phones use to exchange contacts, escaping commas, semicolons, and line breaks so they arrive as typed, and draws it as a QR code. A phone camera that reads it offers to add the contact. Runs 100% locally in your browser with zero server file uploads.

Fill in only what you want to share. Each field you leave empty makes the code simpler to scan.
What goes into the card
The card follows vCard 3.0, which the iPhone Camera app and Google Lens both read. The name is stored twice, once in parts so phones can sort by last name and once in full for display; a card with only a company name uses the company as the display name, which suits a shop or a front desk.
Every field you fill in adds to the code, and the page warns when it grows past about 300 bytes. A name, one phone number, an email address, and a website fit comfortably on a business card; a full address and a note make it worth printing the code larger.
Putting it on a card or a sign
A short line beside the code, such as "Scan to save my contact", tells people what they will get, which makes them far more likely to scan it. Use the SVG download for print so the edges stay crisp, keep a white margin around the code, and test the printed proof with a phone before ordering a full run. To share a web address instead of a contact, the general QR code generator takes any link or text.
How to use it
- Fill in the details you want to share; leave the rest empty.
- Scan the code with your phone to check what it saves.
- Download the code as PNG for screens or SVG for print.
Privacy & limitations

Frequently asked questions
What happens when someone scans it?
The phone's camera recognises a contact card and offers to open it; the person then chooses to add it to their contacts. Nothing is saved without them agreeing.
Why does the code get denser as I add fields?
A QR code stores every character, so each field adds squares. A dense code still scans, but it needs to be printed larger. Leave out fields people will not use, such as a second phone or a long note, to keep a small code easy to read.
How should I write phone numbers?
In international format, starting with + and the country code, such as +44 20 7946 0000. The number then dials correctly from any country.
PNG or SVG?
PNG for screens, email signatures, and slides. SVG for print: it is drawn with lines rather than pixels, so it stays sharp at any size on a business card or a poster.
