Subscription Cost Calculator
Add up your subscriptions, streaming, music, software, cloud storage, and memberships, whether billed weekly, monthly, or yearly, see the monthly and yearly total, and see what cancelling some would save.
Subscription Cost Calculator: Every price is converted to a yearly cost, 52 weekly payments, 12 monthly, 4 quarterly, or 1 yearly, then added up and divided by 12 for the monthly figure. Unticked subscriptions are added up separately to show what cancelling them would save. Common services are suggested by name only, because prices differ by country and plan and change often. Small charges add up
Subscriptions are designed to be easy to start and easy to forget. Five services at 10 a month each come to 600 a year, and price rises arrive by email while the charge renews automatically. Listing them once a year, and cancelling what you no longer use, is one of the quickest savings in a household budget.
Put the total into your budget planner as one line, and if some are billed in another currency, convert them with the currency converter.
Before you cancel
Check whether a service is bundled with another, such as video included with a shopping membership or storage included with a phone plan, and whether a cheaper tier or a family plan shared with others would do. Some services can be paused rather than cancelled.
How to use it
- Add each subscription with its price and how often it is billed; names are suggested as you type.
- Untick the ones you are thinking of cancelling.
- Read the monthly and yearly totals and the saving.

Frequently asked questions
How do I find all my subscriptions?
Go through two or three months of bank and card statements, then check the subscriptions lists in the App Store or Google Play, PayPal's automatic payments, and your email for receipts. Small monthly charges are easy to forget.
Is a yearly plan cheaper?
Often, by roughly two months' worth, but only if you will use the service for the whole year. Compare the yearly price with twelve times the monthly price.
Why are prices not filled in?
The same service costs different amounts in different countries, plans, and promotions, and prices change. Enter what you actually pay, from your statement.
What counts as a subscription?
Anything that renews automatically: streaming and music, software and cloud storage, gyms, news, phone and internet plans, delivery memberships, and apps.
