16 charactersClean up before you deduplicate
Two lines count as duplicates only if they match exactly, so alice@example.com with a trailing space is kept as a separate line. Remove stray spaces first with trim lines or remove extra spaces, and use the case-insensitive option for lists where case does not matter, such as email addresses, which mail providers treat as case-insensitive in practice.
After deduplicating
The first occurrence of each line keeps its place, so the list's order survives. To alphabetise the result, use sort lines; to see what differs between two versions of a list, the diff checker compares them line by line.
How to use it
- Paste a line-based list.
- Choose matching options.
- Copy the deduplicated result.
Privacy & limitations
Processing is local. Leading and trailing spaces remain significant unless you clean them first.

Frequently asked questions
Does this upload my input?
No. The work happens in your current browser tab.
Is the original order preserved?
Yes. The first occurrence stays in its original position.
Do accents make two lines different?
Yes. Lines must match exactly, so cancion and canción are kept as two lines. The case-insensitive option folds letter case with Unicode rules, so Á and á match, but it never removes accents.
