Paper Sizes Chart: A4, A3, Letter, and More in mm, Inches, and Pixels: ISO sizes are generated the way the standard defines them: A0 is 841 × 1189 mm, about one square metre, and each smaller size halves the longer side and rounds down, giving A4 at 210 × 297 mm. In pixels, size in inches × DPI: A4 at 300 DPI is 2480 × 3508. Runs 100% locally in your browser with zero server file uploads.

ISO 216 A sizes keep the ratio 1 : √2, so halving a sheet gives the next size: A0 is one square metre, and A4, 210 × 297 mm, is a sixteenth of it. B sizes sit between A sizes, C sizes are for envelopes that hold A sheets (a C4 envelope fits A4), and Japan's JIS B sizes are slightly larger than ISO B. The US and Canada use Letter, 8.5 × 11 inches, and Legal. Click a row to highlight it; pixels are for printing at the chosen resolution.
The standards
ISO 216 defines the A and B series and ISO 269 the C series for envelopes. Japan's JIS P 0138 B series is based on an area of 1.5 square metres, so JIS B5 is 182 × 257 mm against ISO B5's 176 × 250 mm.

Frequently asked questions
Why does A4 have that odd shape?
Its sides are in the ratio 1 : √2, so folding or cutting a sheet in half gives the same shape at the next size, which makes scaling between sizes exact.
What is the difference between A4 and Letter?
A4 is 210 × 297 mm; Letter is 8.5 × 11 inches, 215.9 × 279.4 mm, slightly wider and shorter, so documents can need adjusting when printed on the other.
Which envelope fits A4?
C4 holds an A4 sheet flat, C5 holds A4 folded once, and C6 holds A4 folded twice.
