EU example height size122Body height 119–125 cm

The next EU example size is 128. At the shared height boundary of 125 cm, this calculator selects that larger size.

EN 13402-3:2017 puts children's body height first. Its example tables use 6 cm intervals, including 116, 122 and 128. These are body-height sizes, not ages or garment lengths. Annex A is informative; manufacturers can use their own measurement tables.

CN heights use 7 cm steps at 52–80 cm, 10 cm at 80–130 cm, then 5 cm. Height alone does not specify a complete CN top or bottom size. Add chest or waist to check a listed designation.

Consider the next size when the child reaches the label's upper height limit or when chest or waist no longer fits its stated range. Check the actual garment for comfortable movement. Do not choose a larger height just to compensate for a different body shape.

US and UK age labels vary by brand. There is no age-to-height mapping table here. Height and weight do not determine a standard S/M/L size; use body measurements.

Measure the body

Measure height without shoes. Keep the tape horizontal around the fullest chest or bust and around the natural waist. Do not pull it tight or add garment ease.

These are body measurements. Garment dimensions include room for movement and depend on the cut.

EN 13402-3:2017 height labels

Clause 5.3.2 puts body height first for children; clauses 4.2–4.3 define intervals and ranges. Annex A.2.3, Tables A.12 and A.18 use 6 cm height steps. Annex A is informative, so brands can choose other tables. DIN standard copy: https://www.normsplash.com/FreeDownload/183734145/DIN-EN-13402-3-2017-en.pdf . Accessed / DATA_CHECKED: 2026-10-04.
