Gradient Wallpaper Maker: Phone and Desktop Backgrounds up to 4K
Make a gradient wallpaper from two to five colours: linear, radial, or conic, at any angle, with a touch of grain to stop banding, sized for a phone, tablet, desktop, 4K, or ultrawide screen, and download it as a full-resolution PNG.
Gradient Wallpaper Maker: Phone and Desktop Backgrounds up to 4K: The gradient is drawn at the full resolution of the size you pick, such as 3840 × 2160 for 4K, so it stays sharp. Linear gradients run at the angle you set, radial ones spread from the centre, and conic ones sweep around it. Grain adds faint random noise, which breaks up the visible steps smooth gradients can show on 8-bit screens. Runs 100% locally in your browser with zero server file uploads.

Runs entirely in your browser
A little grain hides the banding that smooth gradients can show on some screens. The wallpaper is drawn at full size in your browser and saved as a PNG.
Choosing colours
Neighbouring hues, such as orange to pink or teal to blue, blend smoothly; opposite colours can turn grey in the middle, so add a colour between them.

Frequently asked questions
Why does my gradient show bands?
Screens have a limited number of shades per colour, so slow gradients step from one to the next; a little grain hides the steps.
Which size should I choose for my phone?
Pick the closest size; phones crop wallpapers to fit, and a gradient looks the same when cropped.
Can I use it for a website?
For a web page background, a CSS gradient is lighter than an image; make one with the CSS gradient generator.
