GB/T 1335 Garment Size Calculator

Read Chinese height/girth labels from body measurements, with adult body-type bands and listed children's sizes.

GB/T 1335 Garment Size Calculator: Rounds chest minus waist to whole centimetres, with half-centimetre ties up, for the adult Y/A/B/C bands. Adult designations use 5 cm height, 4 cm chest and 2 cm waist steps and show approximate body-measurement fit ranges. Children use the listed height and girth pairs in GB/T 1335.3. Height and weight do not determine an S/M/L garment size in GB/T 1335. Enter chest or bust and waist measurements instead.

Adult height/girth designation

170/88A

Top: height 170 cm / chest or bust 88 cm

Body type A: chest minus waist is 14.0 cm, rounded to 14 cm. This describes proportions, not health or weight.

Fits a body height of about 168–172 cm and a chest / bust of about 86–89 cm.

Height is rounded to the nearest 5 cm, chest to 4 cm and waist to 2 cm (the 5·2 option). Midpoints go up. Chest–waist differences are rounded to whole centimetres before body-type classification; half-centimetre ties round up. Fit ranges are approximate body measurements.

Measure the body

Measure height without shoes. Keep the tape horizontal around the fullest chest or bust and around the natural waist. Do not pull it tight or add garment ease.

These are body measurements. Garment dimensions include room for movement and depend on the cut.

Brands map S/M/L labels differently. Check the height/girth designation printed on the label and the manufacturer's body-measurement chart.

Frequently asked questions

Can height and weight give S/M/L?

No standard height-and-weight to S/M/L mapping is used. Measure chest or bust and waist, then check the designation on the garment label.

Is this a guaranteed fit?

No. Labels describe approximate body measurements; ease and garment cut vary. Check the designation and the manufacturer's body-measurement chart.
