Enneagram Test: Free Personality Type Quiz: This independent quiz asks you to rate ten original statements for each of nine Enneagram types. Statements appear in a fixed mixed order across nine pages. Each type receives a mean score scaled from 0 to 100. Your highest-scoring type becomes the headline, and its higher-scoring neighbour becomes the wing. A close-result notice appears when your top two scores are within three percentage points. Nine patterns, read gently

The Enneagram of Personality overview (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Enneagram_of_Personality) describes the nine-type model and its history. The common type names are used here with original descriptions of motivation, strengths and possible growth areas.

Limits of a self-report quiz

A 2021 systematic review in the Journal of Clinical Psychology (https://doi.org/10.1002/jclp.23097) examined the evidence for this typology. This page does not reproduce RHETI or other proprietary test items. Its scores are for reflection and entertainment, with no clinical interpretation.

Frequently asked questions

What is the Enneagram?

The Enneagram is a modern personality typology with older roots, describing nine broad patterns of motivation. This independent quiz has original statements and is not affiliated with any Enneagram institute or proprietary questionnaire. It offers a way to reflect, not a diagnosis.

What is an Enneagram wing?

A wing is a neighbouring type on the circle. Type 1 neighbours 9 and 2; type 9 neighbours 8 and 1. This quiz selects whichever neighbour scores higher. If they tie, it uses the previous type on the circle and explains the tie. The notation 4w5 means a leading type 4 with a type 5 wing.

How accurate is this Enneagram test?

It is an original self-report quiz, not a validated or clinical assessment. Results depend on how you interpret the statements and how you feel when answering. Read nearby scores and decide what seems useful rather than treating a label as an objective fact. It has no clinical use.

Can my Enneagram type change?

Some traditions describe a stable underlying type, but your quiz results can change as your self-understanding, situation or responses change. A different result is a reason to reflect on the descriptions, not evidence that something is wrong.

Why do the nine percentages not add to 100?

Each type is scored independently. For its ten statements, ratings 1 through 5 contribute 0 through 4 points. The mean is divided by 4 and multiplied by 100. Several types can score highly. An exact leading tie uses the lower type number for the headline.
