CSV Viewer

Open CSV or TSV data as a scrollable table without uploading the file.

CSV Viewer: TOEA detects comma or tab separation, parses quoted fields, and renders a bounded local table of up to 30 columns. Runs 100% locally in your browser with zero server file uploads.

What a misaligned table tells you

The shape of a broken table points to the cause. Everything in one column means the delimiter is neither a comma nor a tab. Values that shift one column to the right from some row on mean a field contains a comma but was not quoted. A row that swallows the lines after it means an opening quote was never closed. Text such as é in place of é means a UTF-8 file was saved or read in another encoding, which the text encoding detector can confirm.

Files beyond the preview

The viewer shows the first 100 data rows and 30 columns of a file up to 2 MB, enough to check structure before an import. For a larger file, look at its top on the command line with head -n 20 data.csv, or split it and view the first part. If the data needs to go into code rather than a table, CSV to JSON converts the whole file.

How to use it

  1. Choose a CSV or TSV up to 2 MB.
  2. Review the detected table.
  3. Scroll through the first 100 data rows.

Privacy & limitations

The file remains in your browser. The preview is intentionally capped to keep large or malformed tables responsive.
