Crypto Profit Calculator (with Fees and Break-Even)

Work out the profit or loss on buying and selling a cryptocurrency, or any asset, from the prices and quantity you enter, including percentage fees on both trades, with the return and the break-even sell price.

Crypto Profit Calculator (with Fees and Break-Even): Cost is buy price × quantity plus the buying fee; proceeds are sell price × quantity minus the selling fee; profit is the difference. 0.1 coin bought at 60,000 and sold at 65,000 with 0.1% fees each way makes about 487.50, an 8.1% return. The break-even sell price, where profit is zero, is buy price × (1 + buy fee) ÷ (1 − sell fee). Runs 100% locally in your browser with zero server file uploads.

Profit is what you receive after the selling fee, minus what you paid including the buying fee; the break-even price is where the two are equal. Enter the prices yourself; no market data is fetched. Network or withdrawal fees and taxes on gains are not included, and nothing here is investment advice.

A worked example

Buying 0.1 coin at 60,000 with a 0.1% fee costs 6,006; selling at 65,000 with a 0.1% fee brings 6,493.50, a profit of 487.50 or 8.1%. Break-even is about 60,120.

Fees add up

Fees of 0.1% to 0.6% a trade are typical on exchanges, and instant-buy services often charge 1–2% or a spread. At 1% each way, a trade needs a rise of just over 2% to break even.

For percentage changes in general, the percentage calculator does the arithmetic.

How to use it

  1. Enter the price you bought at and the price you sold or would sell at.
  2. Enter the quantity and the fee percentage for buying and selling.
  3. Read the profit or loss, the return, and the break-even price.

Frequently asked questions

Does it include network fees?

No: add any fixed withdrawal or network fee to your cost by hand, or raise the fee percentage to cover it.

What about taxes?

Gains are often taxable, with rules that differ by country; the tool does not estimate tax.

Why is the break-even above the buy price?

Because you pay a fee on both trades, the price has to rise enough to cover them before you make anything.
