Code Screenshot Generator: Turn Code into a Clean Image
Make a polished image of a code snippet for slides, docs, or social posts: syntax colours for 17 languages, four themes, a window frame with a title, line numbers, and a gradient or transparent background, saved as a sharp PNG or an SVG, with the code never leaving your browser.
Code Screenshot Generator: Turn Code into a Clean Image: The code is split into keywords, strings, comments, numbers, function names, and types by a small built-in highlighter, then laid out line by line in a monospace font as an SVG, framed like an editor window. The PNG is drawn from that SVG at one, two, or three times the size, so it stays crisp on high-resolution screens. Runs 100% locally in your browser with zero server file uploads.

Runs entirely in your browser
Nothing leaves your browser. The SVG names a monospace font rather than embedding one, so it looks best on the computer that made it; the PNG is fixed.
Readable code images
Keep snippets short, about 10 to 25 lines and under 80 characters wide, so the text stays legible when the image is shrunk in a feed or on a slide.
Accessibility
An image of code cannot be copied or read by a screen reader. Where you can, put the code itself in alt text or alongside the image.
How to use it
- Paste your code.
- Pick the language, theme, window style, and background.
- Download the image as PNG or SVG.
Privacy & limitations
Your code stays in your browser and is never uploaded.

Frequently asked questions
Which languages are highlighted?
JavaScript, TypeScript, Python, Go, Rust, Java, C, C++, C#, PHP, Ruby, SQL, CSS, HTML, JSON, Bash, and YAML. The language is guessed from the code, or you can choose it.
Why does the SVG look different on another computer?
SVG names a font instead of embedding it, so another computer may use its own monospace font. The PNG looks the same everywhere.
Can I make the background transparent?
Yes: choose none, and the PNG keeps a transparent background around the window.
