Screenshot Beautifier
Put a screenshot on a gradient backdrop with rounded corners, a shadow, and an optional window bar, ready for docs, posts, and slides.
Screenshot Beautifier: TOEA draws the screenshot at its original pixel size onto a larger canvas with the backdrop and styling you choose, so nothing is scaled down, then encodes the result on your device. Runs 100% locally in your browser with zero server file uploads.

PNG, JPG, or WebP · the picture is never scaled down

Start from a clean capture
On a Mac, Shift-Command-4 followed by Space captures a single window; hold Option while clicking to leave out the macOS window shadow, which would otherwise double up with the shadow added here. On Windows, Windows-Shift-S opens the Snipping Tool, which has a window mode. Hide bookmarks bars, notifications, and personal details before capturing, or cover them afterwards with the privacy blur tool.
Size for where it will be posted
Screenshots from high-density screens have two or three times the pixel width of the window you saw, and the export keeps them at full size, so a laptop capture can end up over 3000 pixels wide. That is ideal for sharpness but heavy for a blog post or an email; resize the export to around 1600–2000 pixels wide. The 16:9 shape suits link previews and slides, and the square one suits feeds that crop previews to a square.
How to use it
- Choose a screenshot.
- Pick the backdrop, margin, corner radius, shape, and window bar.
- Export the PNG or JPG at full resolution.
Privacy & limitations
The image stays in your browser and is never uploaded. Export happens on your device.

Frequently asked questions
What size is the export?
The screenshot at full size plus the margin, or a 16:9 or square canvas around it if you choose those shapes. The exact pixel size is shown on the export button.
What is the window bar?
A title bar with three dots drawn above the screenshot, so a bare page capture looks like an application window. Choose dark or light to suit the screenshot.
Can I use my brand colour?
Yes. Pick Plain colour in the backdrop list and set any colour. The gradient presets are there for a quick, tasteful default.
Why PNG by default?
Screenshots are mostly flat colour and text, which PNG keeps crisp. Use JPG for photographic captures where file size matters more.
