Base64 to Image
Validate and decode a Base64 payload or data URL into a downloadable image.
Base64 to Image: TOEA converts the Base64 text back to bytes, verifies that the browser can decode them as an image, and creates a local download. Runs 100% locally in your browser with zero server file uploads.

Recognizing the image type
Every image format begins with a fixed signature, so its Base64 begins with recognizable characters: iVBORw0KGgo is PNG, /9j/ is JPEG, R0lGOD is GIF, and UklGR is a RIFF container, which for images means WebP. Use this to choose the right type when the data URL prefix is missing, so the downloaded file gets the correct extension.
Fixing input that will not decode
URL-safe Base64, used in JWTs and many web APIs, writes - and _ where standard Base64 has + and /; swap them back before pasting. Text copied out of JSON may contain \/ instead of /, because some encoders, PHP's json_encode among them, escape slashes; remove those backslashes. Line breaks and spaces are ignored, so Base64 wrapped at 76 characters, as in email source, decodes as it is.
How to use it
- Paste Base64 or a full image data URL.
- Choose a MIME type when the prefix is absent.
- Decode, preview, and download.
Privacy & limitations
Decoding is local. Only paste content from sources you trust; Base64 does not prove who created the data.

Frequently asked questions
Do I need the data URL prefix?
No. Choose the image type when pasting a raw Base64 payload.
Why was my input rejected?
It may contain invalid Base64, exceed the safety limit, or not decode as an image.
