Saturn Return Calculator: Exact Saturn and Jupiter Return Dates
Calculate exact Saturn return passes, retrograde repeats, one-degree windows and ages, with a timeline and private share card.
Saturn Return Calculator: Exact Saturn and Jupiter Return Dates: Finds your natal Saturn sign and degree and every exact pass in the first, second and third Saturn returns. See your age at each pass, the overall one-degree window, separate visits within that window, the sign ingress and a distance timeline. The Jupiter preset lists returns up to age 100. Saturn returns are traditionally associated with maturity and taking stock, without predictions. Runs 100% locally in your browser with zero server file uploads.

Return method and windows
Astronomy Engine (https://github.com/cosinekitty/astronomy) supplies tropical geocentric apparent positions under the MIT licence. GeoNames (https://www.geonames.org/) supplies city coordinates and time zones under CC BY 4.0. Calculations run in your browser.
Exact roots of the signed shorter-arc longitude difference are narrowed by bisection. Search intervals are divided at planetary stations so closely spaced retrograde passes are retained. The first three Saturn cycles and Jupiter cycles through age 100 are grouped separately. The one-degree band uses independently calculated boundary crossings.
Checked against Swiss Ephemeris
Offline comparisons use Swiss Ephemeris 2.10.03 in Moshier mode (https://www.astro.com/swisseph/). Reference numbers are test data only; the calculator does not bundle or call Swiss Ephemeris.
Independent daily scans and bisection check all exact passes for eight birth instants across six birth years, with events through 2100. The recorded checks agree within one day. Pass dates are displayed in the visitor’s browser zone; a different zone may show a neighbouring date.
How to use it
- Enter your birth date; time and city are optional.
- Choose Saturn or Jupiter and calculate every exact return pass.
- Explore the one-degree windows and save a card without birth details.

Frequently asked questions
When is my Saturn return?
A Saturn return occurs when transiting Saturn reaches its natal tropical longitude. The first usually occurs around age 29, the second around 59 and the third around 88. This calculator searches actual positions instead of adding a fixed number of years.
Why are there several exact dates?
Apparent retrograde motion can carry Saturn across the same longitude more than once. One return commonly has one or three exact passes. Every calculated pass is listed, including direct and retrograde crossings.
What does the return window mean?
The window runs from the first entry to the final exit within one degree of the natal longitude. Saturn can leave that band and re-enter it; separate visits show those gaps. The sign ingress is listed separately and is not the exact return.
Do I need my birth time and city?
They are optional. A blank time uses noon in your selected zone, which begins as your browser’s zone. Saturn moves roughly 0.03 degrees per day. A known time improves the natal degree, especially near a station; an estimated birth time can shift the pass dates.
Can I calculate a Jupiter return?
Choose Jupiter on this page or use the planet=jupiter preset. Jupiter returns roughly every twelve years. The calculator lists every exact pass from the first return through age 100.
Does a Saturn return predict events?
No. Maturity and taking stock are traditional symbolic associations. The dates describe planetary geometry, not future events or personal advice.
