Runs entirely in your browser
Intended for adults (18+). Everything stays in your browser; nothing is saved or sent.
Check every box that applies to you. An unchecked box means no, or prefer not to answer. This is a conversation game, not a checklist of things to try or a measure of worth.
The survey is commonly traced to an anonymous orientation-week tradition at Rice University. This independent version uses new questions.
A campus survey tradition
The historical overview of the Rice Purity Test (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rice_Purity_Test) describes its connection to student life at Rice University. This quiz uses newly written prompts rather than the published questionnaire.
Reading a score
Each of the 100 questions has equal weight. A checked box subtracts one point; an unchecked box subtracts none. The resulting bands are editorial captions, with no normative or scientific interpretation. The survey is for adults and is not a list of experiences to pursue.

Frequently asked questions
Where did the Rice purity test come from?
The survey is commonly traced to Rice University as an anonymous orientation-week tradition. This is an independent quiz inspired by that tradition, with original questions. It is not affiliated with Rice University or the publishers of other purity tests.
What does my rice purity score mean?
It is 100 minus your number of checked boxes. The bands are 98–100: Fresh notebook; 77–97: A few good stories; 45–76: A colourful collection; 9–44: Many chapters explored; and 0–8: Quite the anthology. These are playful descriptions, not judgements about character, maturity or health.
What is the average rice purity score?
There is no representative average provided here. Scores depend on the questions, the people taking part and what they choose to disclose. Numbers from voluntary online polls should not be treated as a target or a population benchmark.
Can I leave a question unanswered?
Yes. An unchecked box counts as no or prefer not to answer. Skip anything you do not want to consider; the result is a private game, and there is no need to explain a choice.
Are my answers saved or shared?
No answers are stored by this quiz. Reloading clears them. The share card shows only the final score and band, never which boxes you checked.
