Online Xylophone: Play a Virtual Xylophone
Play a colourful two-octave xylophone in C major, from C5 to C7, by tapping or clicking the bars or using your computer keyboard, with a synthesised struck-bar sound.
Online Xylophone: Play a Virtual Xylophone: Each bar plays a note of the C major scale from C5 to C7. The sound is synthesised as a struck bar: the note with an overtone three times higher, a twelfth above, that fades within a fifth of a second, as xylophone bars are tuned, which gives the bright click. Two octaves of a C major scale, from C5 to C7, the range of a children's glockenspiel or the top of a xylophone. Each bar is synthesised as a struck bar: the note itself with a quickly fading overtone three times higher, a twelfth above, which is how xylophone bars are tuned and gives them their bright click. Frequently asked questions
Why are there no black notes?
Like a children's xylophone, it has only the white notes of C major, so every tune in C can be played without wrong notes.
Is the sound recorded from a real xylophone?
No, it is synthesised in the browser, so it loads instantly and works offline once the page is open.
Can I play it on a phone?
Yes, tap the bars; several fingers can play at once.
