Height is measured between the top and bottom lines. In paired layouts the count means systems, each containing two staves. Grand staff uses a bass clef on the lower staff when clefs are enabled.
Print at 100% or actual size. Match the paper size and turn off browser headers and footers.
PDF uses standard fonts. Some scripts may need browser printing for correct lettering.
Music layouts
Choose a staff height in plain millimetres, measured between the top and bottom lines. Single staves have five lines; guitar TAB has six. Paired systems have an 8 mm gap between their staves.
Dimensions and printing
A4 is 210 × 297 mm; Letter is 215.9 × 279.4 mm. A5, A3, Legal and Tabloid are also available where the layout permits. PDF export uses standard PDF fonts; unsupported scripts may need browser printing. Supported geometry remains vector; images remain embedded raster artwork. jsPDF and svg2pdf.js are MIT-licensed: https://github.com/parallax/jsPDF and https://github.com/yWorks/svg2pdf.js
Staff height
This tool uses plain millimetres rather than numbered rastral presets, whose conventions differ. For comparison, LilyPond documents its default 20-point staff as 7.03 mm tall. LilyPond staff size: https://lilypond.org/doc/v2.24/Documentation/notation/setting-the-staff-size
