Dividend Calculator
Calculate annual dividend income and project shares, withholding and retained cash year by year, with optional reinvestment.
Dividend Calculator: Annual gross income is shares multiplied by annual dividend per share. Yield mode sets the starting dividend to yield multiplied by starting price. Each year uses opening shares, applies withholding and reinvests the net dividend once at the grown year-end price when enabled. Otherwise net income stays as cash without interest. Growth rates are your assumptions; this is arithmetic, not a forecast or advice. Runs 100% locally in your browser with zero server file uploads.

Year 1 uses the starting dividend and opening shares. Price growth occurs before one annual reinvestment at year end. Dividend growth starts in year 2. Fractional shares are allowed; cash earns no interest. Withholding is a user assumption, not a tax calculation.

Dividends and reinvestment
Investor.gov, Dividend-reinvestment plans: https://www.investor.gov/introduction-investing/investing-basics/glossary/dividend-reinvestment-plans-drips
Reinvestment uses the net cash dividend to buy additional shares. No assets or market datasets are bundled.
Projection arithmetic
Gross income = opening shares × annual dividend per share. Withheld = gross × withholding % / 100. Added shares = net dividend / year-end price. Total value = ending shares × year-end price + retained cash. Rates stay constant and are entered by you.
How to use it
- Enter shares and price, then an annual dividend per share or an annual yield.
- Set your assumed price growth, dividend growth, withholding and years; choose whether to reinvest.
- Read annual income, the chart and the yearly table, or download the CSV.
Privacy & limitations
All figures are entered by you and stay in your browser. No market data, tickers or prices are fetched. These are arithmetic tools, not investment advice.

Frequently asked questions
When does reinvestment happen?
Once at year end, after that year’s price growth. Year 1 uses the starting annual dividend. Dividend growth starts in year 2. Fractional shares are allowed.
Is withholding a full tax calculation?
No. The percentage you enter is deducted from each gross dividend. No jurisdiction, allowances, credits or tax rules are inferred.
Can I model dividends paid monthly?
The projection uses one annual payment. Enter the annual total; monthly reinvestment timing will produce a different result.
