Code Point to Unicode
Turn U+XXXX, 0xXXXX, or decimal notation into one Unicode character.
Code Point to Unicode: Turn a numeric Unicode scalar into the character it names. Code Point to Unicode accepts U+ notation, a hexadecimal 0x form or decimal digits and displays the character with matching numeric labels. It helps reproduce a specified symbol without relying on a keyboard layout. Runs 100% locally in your browser with zero server file uploads.

ReadyOnly Unicode scalar values are accepted; surrogate halves and values above U+10FFFF are rejected.
Parse the notation, then create one scalar
Interpret the entered digits in their stated base to obtain integer N; accept it only if 0 ≤ N ≤ 1,114,111 and N is outside 55,296–57,343. For input U+20AC, N = 2×4096 + 0×256 + 10×16 + 12 = 8192 + 160 + 12 = 8364. This names the euro sign. The exact output is €\nU+20AC\nDecimal: 8364\nHex: 0x20AC. Entering decimal 8364 or 0x20AC produces the same result, whereas bare 20AC fails the decimal syntax. For comparison, JavaScript can write the emoji 😀 as \u{1F600}.
An identifier is not a byte sequence
The Unicode core specification (https://www.unicode.org/versions/latest/core-spec/) defines scalar values and the surrogate exclusion. A U+ number identifies a scalar; its digits are not automatically UTF-8 bytes or a little-endian field. The euro sign is encoded as E2 82 AC in UTF-8, so use Text to Hex when preparing transport bytes. The input guard is 16 code points, and the accepted scalar range is far below JavaScript Number’s precision limit. This operation creates one scalar only: a flag or a joined emoji sequence needs several code points assembled separately. Use Text to Hex to obtain the character’s UTF-8 bytes.

Frequently asked questions
Is 41 treated as hexadecimal or decimal?
Digits without a prefix are decimal, so 41 gives a closing parenthesis. Use U+0041 or 0x41 for the letter A. Enter a single value without spaces, signs or a quoted escape sequence. U+ notation permits up to six hex digits; decimal notation permits up to seven digits.
Why are D800 and 110000 not valid U+ inputs?
U+D800 is a surrogate code point rather than a scalar, and U+110000 lies above the maximum U+10FFFF. The tool rejects both. Unassigned or private-use scalars are different: they can be accepted even if no font supplies a meaningful glyph for them.
Does a blank result mean the conversion failed?
Not necessarily. A valid scalar can be a control, whitespace or a combining mark with no standalone visible shape. A missing font may show a box. Check the U+ and decimal labels, then compare the value’s Unicode definition rather than assuming every accepted scalar must display as a letter.
